Hi Guy's, I am a newbie so be kind.

Right, would you consider it an industry standard to seal a polished porcelain floor tile?

Now this is not your cheap Chinese porcelain, I think. It is a C.P Portia tile and has not be sealed prior to grouting resulting in staining/grout marks.

So, back to my first question (above) and is there any product that would get the grout out of the tile to a satisfactory standard?

Thanks in advance

Jay

Re: Unsealed Polished poreclain and stains...

Hi Jay, and:welcome: some polished porcelain do need sealing prior to grouting, as the polishing process opens up microscopic pores in the surface.

You could try a nano scrub cleaner to lift the grout residue (LTP do one) Grout stain remover.

Also Lithofin, HG, etc have similar products. Good luck:thumbsup:

Thanks guys. I knew as much but needed to have a second opinion to this as the fitter I have used has grouted without sealing and left me up s**t creek, with regards to the customer...

But I will try those solutions you have mentioned thanks.

:welcome: and yes needed sealing first any chance of some pictures

if you have a tiler fitting them isnt it his problem or am i missing something here

No, contraband isn't the main contractor. Just the tile supplier.

But it looks like it's heading down the court route anyway 8-(
