My carpenter/kitchen fitter friend would like to know how much to charge for fitting 34 m2 of real wood ?

cheers

I charge £22 pm2 for secret nailing. I only do a glued floating if the customer requests as I don't recommend it on timber

ERM, last time I looked this was a tiling forum 😳 I wouldn't have a clue, why hasn't he ? is he self employed ? maybe a day rate.

I own one of these - Broken Link Removed
Great piece of kit. These nailer can be hired from HSS for about £140 for a week

I use T cleats instead of L cleats. They are easier to get out when double shot. When the chamber is down to the last 2, it sometimes shoots double so keep chamber topped up

As above Alan there are multi traders on the forum too.

He doesn't know what to charge as with most people these days he is applying his skills, as a time served carpenter making bespoke furniture and kitchen fitter,to make more money in the whole service.

He was think £30m2 in london so heat just get away with that. Cheers bubblecraft.

Sounds about right for London mate. Secret nailed for timber substrate & glued for concrete substrate. I don't recommend glueing on timber substrate.

I'll jump on my iPad in a bit & get some pics up for you

No offence bubble craft but those joints are way too close?....i always try to stagger my end joints half and half....each to there own but thats my personal preferance.....thats my city & guilds furniture craft coming out haha....nice and flat though look great just those joints would really bug me

I totally know where your coming from but if you look again, you will see that it's solid oak random, not set. About 12 different sizes from 150mm to 1300mm. No 2 bits were the same length. I had 4 different boxes open at any one time to try & create the best layout.
Even if they were set, I still wouldn't do half & half unless the customer specified it. I generally would lay full, half, third...that's the 25 years experience coming out 😉
I really only do have & half if its 4 v groove.
