Preparation of bitumin floor - Tile Advice

underneath the bitumen is a concrete screed
The light bits on the bitumen are paint and plaster splashes

That's a good point Ray. Would be interesting to see if they would recomend it over magnesite. Cant see why not...

as far as a know from lewis the rep can be used on ant flat surface just ordered 6 rolls to day for a calsium screed floor we are doing next week and no sanding yesssssssssssss
loose a day preping but gain a day laying so making more money win win

Not if the floor has issues with damp.

its a bitumin floor quite thick last i heard bitumine is water proof also flex bone is breatherble

Ok from the pics its not magnesite. It looks like old fashioned blackjack. I would just check moisture. If dry cement slurry and tile. Or use the flexbone whuch actually looks pretty good.

Just roll it out after sweeping and you’re ready to tile..
