Interesting - strong opinions again!
I've worked with, and seen work from many "prominent" (note the quotation marks) tilers in the industry. Award winners, industry figures etc...
Some of the things they do shocked me, equally though, some of the things I do would likely shock them!
In my opinion, if a customer is truly happy and you get paid, it's a success.
Everything else is just opinion...

Ok , my opinion, not the settee, although that’s a industry changer :)
My opinion is , if it has a pattern you wrap it , or try your best if possible ,I suppose there are always variables which makes it impossible , but if it has a pattern you wrap it.
I’ve done it both ways I think, I’m really a self taught tiler , although I did it in my apprenticeship, it was only site tiling, and it’s nowt like 6x6 tiling now :( I don’t do mosaics, hate em, not done much geo , I’d leave that to the specialists like John who have grown up on it, and if I’m honest, I’ve lost interest in work now and would like to retire abroad with a big boat and villa with a pool ;)
