Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of advice to help me salvage a DIY glass mosaic tile installation. I've done a bit of standard format wall and floor tile in the past and always achieved a fairly decent enough finish to be satisfied with it so I have braved a glass mosaic in our new kitchen extension.
Quite frankly it was a mistake and I didn't have the experience to take on the job, can't be learning on the job with something like this.
The glass mosaic is circa 3-4mm thick held together on clear self https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ sheets on the external face that are removed after the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ has set. Problem is I've used the wrong size notched trail and the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ has entered the grout tracks. Couldn't clear it as the installation progressed because of the clear https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ sheet. I thought I'd be able to remove the clear https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ sheet after a few hours whilst the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ was still soft enough to rake out. This wasn't possible because it pulled the mosaic off the wall so I had to leave it!!! Now it's set hard obviously and going to be a mission to remove.
I have used the correct https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ Mapei adesilex P10 in brilliant white.
Do you reckon I'd be ok to use this product to grout with or not? Appreciate it's not it's intended use but i'd be interested to hear a few opinions on this as it would salvage the job.
Thanks in advance
