Hi

I have just stripped off some horrible mosaics off our fireplace to find they were only stuck on with glue gun and silicone.

I am re tiling with brick slips which I have pre sealed already.

Do I need to PVA the surface before tiling? I am not sure what the surface underneath is. It looks like a mixture of block and old adhesive. I have attached a photo. The surface is solid and doesn't feel blown anywhere

Advice from a pro would be greatly received!

Cheers

Rob

Most single part flexi is fine for this job, I don't think anything special is needed.
