Exterior tiling over waterproof membrane - help please!

Hi, we are in Gibraltar so there are a limited number of tilers available - I'd like to ask the experts on here for advice, so I know what to ask them to do please. We have exterior steps and balconies which are currently tiled. Beneath them are rooms - when it rains water comes through the ceilings! I am looking to strip off the current surface, waterproof and tile and would really appreciate ideas about best products to use. Having searched the internet I'm finding it hard to locate reasonably priced porcelain tiles with the step-specific edges etc.

If you pop across the border you can get Revestech Dry 80 quite readily. My adhesive of choice is Kerakoll H40 No Limits. As for tiles you're better of in a tile shop than the very limited internet resources that this part of the world has!

Thanks for the reply. I'll check that product out. Do you find that Leroy Merlin / bricor can supply decent quality tiles for steps, or do we need to go to a specialist? We were even thinking of shipping from the UK as its so hard to find good price and quality here?

Spain make tiles - your bound to find something on your doorstep (pun intended).
Prices not good here though - there isn't the competition and discounting between retailers that we get in the UK. Also terrible exchange rate right now :-(

Stair tiles are always more expensive than "normal" tiles because of the extra manufacturing and transport costs plus the fact the volume of sales is much lower. What sort of area are you looking at? Another option is to buy plain tiles and use a stair nosing, either ceramic or metal.
