Difference in levels

DIY home owner asking for advice on how to raise the level from a hallway to a recently laid laminate floor. I have thought of levelling compound by I’ve also heard of a fibreboard. The difference in height is approximately 30 mm.

Self leveling compound would be a better bet. get a flexable one that can cope with that depth. prime the floor first
and make sure it dont foul you front door.

You could stick a wedi or similar board to the floor and save alot on self levelling costs !but it does sound hollow after tiling ??
