Hi all

Going to look at a freinds floor that needs a few tiles repairing (came loose i think) and was wondering is it ok to use tub adhesive or would i have to buy a bag of powder adehsive? With it only being a few tiles i dont think she will want to fork out for a full bag of flexible powder stuff. If it's ok to use tubbed stuff which one would everyone recommend?
Thanks

P.s i will also be checking the sub floor for movement incase this is why it has failed. but is there any other things i could check for as to why it has failed?

Do not use tub adhesive do it right use rapidset flexi and have a look at the subfloor find out what it is if its ply it may not be screwed down so there will be to much movement if its floorboards then it should have been plyed if its cerment then see if its damp also look at the adhesive if its soft then it hasn't set may be tubed. what starts as a repair could meen the full floor meeds re-doing

ok will do uug197h. Your right if im going to do it i mayaswell do it properley!
Cheers for the advice mate:thumbsup:

You will find you can pick up a bag of powder for almost same as tub gear defo dont use tub gear on floor. As the old saying goes "If its worth doing then its worth doing right"

All the best

Your powder gear won't go to waste if you only use a bit of it. You can use the rest on your next job.
