evening chapz,,just been to look at a job its a bathroom that b and q are fitting for someone. walls total 16 square metres..all flat in good nick and she wants them done in mosaics......shes bought the tiles already however they are the real thin cheaper end mosaics shes bought,,she also said b and q price for tiling was scary ,,does anyone know what they charge per sq metre?? what do you guys think is a fair price for fitting a mosaics per sq metre on this job..bearing in mind shes bought budget tiles so prob will want a budget price for fitting the wee blighters..cheers guys

Wants a budget price but a first class job no less. never come across a wall flat enough for mosaics yet. Current climate price £450 plus mats. Would like to aim for the £600 mark though

cheers faith, aye id like to go in at 600 as well ,,might hit it at 500 and mats on top,,should i use mosaic fix for this job and if so whats the average price for that per tub please as ive never used it before:thumbsup:

Never used it myself either. Starting to use Mapei a lot more now but don't have their little black book to hand.

i use mapei usually as its a good quality gear with a reasonable price,i personally find bal expensive..anyways i just gave the customer her price and i think i heard her falsers landing in her soup:lol:

Bal's Mosaicfix if brilliant adhesive, but prices vary so much depending on where you get it from.

I just lost out big time after blind pricing at £35/mtr for mosaics.
They turned out to be awful Waxman DIY made in Thailand.
Sheet sizes varied by as much as 1/2 a tile both ways and they fell off the nylon backing once they touched the addy.

Be VERY careful with the quality of the mosaics as it is going to dictate how long your job takes and how high your blood pressure goes!

(should have charged £55/mtr with heindsight)

Aye, words of wisdom I can relate to....

For some reason, I find that cheap arsed customers are more nitpicky than not so cheap arsed customers...

I have, but on the other hand, I built those walls myself, so I don't think that counts
