Im on a bit of a keep fit thing at the moment...cycling etc. And it is getting dark so early now so im going to my local leisure centre tonight to start kick boxing classes...How do you guys keep fit? :ninja:

cross trainer and air rower in the kitchen, 15 minutes of each every night, walk the dog too

i'm also hoping to carry on doing my 20 mile rides on a sunday morning, so long as it's dry.

Running, cycling or anything really, i like squash because you get good work out and its releases built up tension/aggression.

i'm on the same kinda thing..from 20th sept to 07th dec, no beer, no sweet carbs, just lots of good food..
i run and do some weight training and i do mma training for self defence..i go about 3 times a month now. its all good
healthy body , healthy mind and all that stuff ;0)....we are doing a manual job so you have to treat yourself a bit like an athlete in my opinion...i dont really want to retire, so i aim to work in one form or another till i drop ..lol so what you do now, will decide where your gonna be in 20 - 30 years time!!

keep it up enduro!! good for you... ;0)

Do exercises, similar to Yoga, every morning...and some physio stuff I got into the habit off, and that's it really... you tilers are moving more in 3 hours than I do all day I think... honestly... 😳
oh, and I have given up refined sugar and 'empty' carbs all together, 6 weeks now, feel very very good and very different for that, more alert, more energetic, no heartburn, no depression, I think sugar is really not very good for us, mind body or spirit... :yesnod:

I know, shocking thought isn't it? But honestly, I can't tell you the difference it makes, my mind is buzzing, I sleep better, wake up alert and always in a good mood rearing to start the day, I think sugar may be a depressant. And VERY addictive. And good natural food tastes naturally sweeter now, astonishing...

Dave, 4 stone is amazing 🙂

I work too many hours in a week. The thought of any more exercise when I get home isn't appealing. I should get some cardio in though.

Last thing i think about when i get in as well... but sometimes i think i have toooo.. but then forget..lol..

I run around five times a week and try and do a couple of Body Pump classes at the weekend. I also try and do the Parkrun at Crammond on a Saturday morning, which is a timed 5k run. Have always tried to keep fit, but when i turned 40 last December, I think I had a mini crisis and started taking more seriously.

a bit of weight lifting...........

Last night at half eight i met two other guys at the local forest trail,we got raincoats on,lights on helmets and climbed on the mountain bikes and off into the woods.
Eleven miles we done, hard going and the two guys with me were well experienced. That didn't stop me passing them on a couple of hills, lol.
I'm getting fitter every week now,3 times i was out last week.
We should all do a bit:thumbsup:

if people dont like running, buy a skipping rope! they are great for cardio..

try 1 min skipping ,
then 1 min shadow boxing,
then 30 secs squat thrusts,
then 30 secs star jumps........rest for 1 min, then repeat

i guarantee you'll feel it ;0) and its a nice change from jogging,

Yes G, sugar devastates your immune system for 24 hours after you have eaten it (the refined white stuff:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:) one of the most addicitve things around as well as you say.

Do you often go meeting well experienced men in woods with raincoats on Joe?:lol:

Blimey, don't know where you lot find the time

John

I had to figure out how to make time! I got so fat last year because I thought I didn't have time to exercise and do everything else too. I now treat my housework like exercise, so running up and down stairs to get washing, tidying up, hoovering, it's all calories burnt. Last night I came home and unloaded the dishwasher and put everything away, put away all the dry washing, put another load of washing on, put a load of damp washing in the tumble dryer, hoovered all the floors, and then made dinner ready for Mr GRR's late arrival. After all that I could have slotted in a 30 minute dog walk but chose not to, and just got on with typing up all my uni notes from yesterday afternoon :yesnod:

so it's just about finding 30 minutes or so in your day when you can fit something active into your lifetstyle. doesn't matter what kind of exercise it is so long as it gets you out of breath and your heart pumping. and yes, bedroom activities are included. 😉

I also use the cycling as a way of me and Mr GRR doing something together that we share an interest in. Otherwise I'd be sitting in front of the laptop, he'd have the tv remote and we'd just be sniping at each other for being boring.

Oh and don't forget I also walk for 20 minutes every lunch time too.
