Swimming pool

Hi Guys

I have done a few posts so far but this is my first reall issue.
I have doen a tiling course and whilst a am waiting to leave my courrent job i am doing as much tiling work as i can labouring and tiling for a friend who is a tiler and up and running with his Buisness.
We are tiling a swimming pool soon but the adhesive we have been given is a adhesive and grout, i querry this and asked if it would be better if we had a rapid setting adhesive and a separate grout. What do you guys think?
oH its 17m2 and we are doing it with mosaics.

I personally wouldn't use any fix and grout on a swimming pool. I recently worked on a school pool up in Yorkshire although I was only patching and the adhesive I used was Ardex x77s White and I think the grout was Ardex f4

its alot easier to tile mosaic using fix and grout as you dont get as much grief trying to keep joints clean as normally the adhesive stains the grout if its a light coloured grout....

I know what your sayin and I agree I just wasn't sure there were fix and grout products that are fine to use in swimming pools. I always associate fix and grout with cheap DIY shops

That what i thought about this whole fix and grout product, I have asked and it is suitable for swimming pools but it has a really slow drying time. I will let you guys know how its goes.

What make is the adhesive and grout

whats the background your fixing to? Is it glass mosaic? Powderd adhesive is available in white.

We did a large glass swimming pool last year and we used Ardex adhesive and grout

they are ceramic mosaic and we are fitting them to the concrete at the bottom of the pool, the adhesive/grout is powered and is white i cant remember the name of it will get back on that one.

hi tpw,before laying a single tile on that pool i would find out exactly what you are using adhesive and grout wise and if it is suitable,a job like that going wrong could be disastrous for you

btw are you sub contracting to a company or is it your friends private job

Tilling directly on to concrete, so its not a snd cement screed then ? whats on the pool walls?
