How do you judge whether a screed is dry enough to tile on to

Fibres are added to most sand cement screeds to try to help control shrinkage cracking. As for drying... You need a moisture meter for that.

I was in stitches when I first saw that. And my mate said always try to remember it when you're meant to be serious. And for a couple of weeks I'd grin when the mrs was having a go at me or something. Felt like a school kid being told off but your mate is pulling faces behind them and you can't keep a straight face.

Or use a vapour equalisation membrane , ideal for a green cement based screed

Thinking about it that's a lie, I can think of a few now I'm thinking about it that haven't tiled.
