Got a grinder, 110v, top tool. Would never have a cordless grinder, I'd need far too many batteries! Only other Makita tool I own is a variable speed grinder for profiling/polishing.

i have three of these Batteries , they are cracking grinders and batteries ,i cut most of my mosaics with this kit now !!

I have the cordless drill driver 18v li ,the bmr radio ,the cordless impact driver 18v li cordless grinder 18v li and a 240v corded 41/2 grinder ,i really like makita its well made reliable and good value for money

All my tools r Makita including the radio, but my Makita cordless grinder just isn't worth the money and I would only cut a few 6mm ceramics with it !

i have the makita saw with the hampster bottle, and use all time on ceramics, sits in my tool bag nicely. do most of my cuts by hand and mainly use it for the L cuts round the windows.
saves me time not setting one of my bigger machines up and cleaning them afterwards!!!
obvs useless if you do alot of stone.
would be good if they made one with the power of the cordless grinder as its only 12v and short on some real power.

i have invested in the cordless 18 v li-on drill+impact driver and grinder.Im now looking for a good deal on the site radio if anyone knows of one

I've got a Makita 14.4 drill driver which is fine for light duty work and a 240v SDS drill/driver/chisel thats fine too. Quality tools in my view.

I have the cordless makita tile saw, ive used it on porca, stone, ceramics, mosaics everything its superb for littleish cuts.cuts each cut with no chips, same blade for over 2 year, i ofcoarse dont use it day in day out, but its been well used. 🙂
I have drills and ofcoarse the radio, good kit is makita

Do you use the battery that came with it or did you get an upgrade. widler

nope same battery, like i said, ive used it on everything, not every day,but a job or 3 a month, great piece of kit.
im not cutting 600 x600 porca/stone ect half way (although i have when forgot my table once) takes too long, but around sockets in splashbacks, its ideal,or cutting a socket in the middle its great.
but hey ho,each to there own 😉

Used a Makita chop saw and circ saw for about 10 years. Faultless. Got Makita angle grinder and work boots after my DeWalt ones fell to bits in 3 months. Bosch everything else.

Wish I'd bought Makita drill over the Hitachi but pennies were tight at the time. Give Hitachi their due though, they replaced the drill and 3 NiCads for LiIon when it all went pear shaped after 14 months.

I am slowly moving towards full Makita set up. I have 2 grinders, jigsaw and the radio. Just stalking out the combi drills at the mo;-)

cordless grinders are not so good in my opinion. they lack the power of the corded versions. not really worth it considering you will pay more for a lesser tool
