How far would you travel for work..?

I'm sure this has been asked before but i am creating a poll to see how far members will travel to do a job etc.

So please vote for what suits you best.

California is the furthest I have traveled.

I had projects in Devon, Oxford etc. so would travel for bigger project. Even did some work in Denmark, Poland 🙂

Most of my work is under 20 miles away but would do 40-50 if I had to. Worked all over UK and Ireland in the past doing shopfitting but wouldn't be interested these days unless it was really worth my while. You can make as much 5 miles away as you can 200 miles away so no point unless there's a premium there.

I like to work as local as possible but have done jobs that were up to 3 hours drive away one direction several times.

I'll travel anywhere, so long as the price is right.
I like the change of scene and it means you can build a large client base.
Been as far as Frankfurt, Berlin and Geneva for Land Rover tiling the stands years ago.

Unless customers are prepared to pay for fuel/time to get the the job...........then I stay as local as possible.

Very rare I work close to home. Just spent 6 hours driving back from my current job, it's 240 miles away and the traffic was a nightmare. Not as bad as last week though when I'd driven for an hour and a half then realised I'd got the only spare key to the showroom and had to turn back:yikes: will be away next week to finish it off

would go anywahere if price were right.

i regularly travel nationwide with my work and have done a few abroad , i will go anywhere except a war-zone,if the folding stuff is good,and you can get decent materials , the best job i nearly had was BARBADOS now that would have been a good-un !!
