help please,,slate slab scratch

Hi

Today I was fitting a solid smooth slate slab for a fire place floor. I unfortunately cratched it and attempted to sand out the scratch with 320grit sand paper.The scratch is gone but now the sanded area is a lighter shade than the rest of the slab.Any advice would be appreciated.What is the best way to darken the sanded area?

Sand the whole slab then colour enhance it to darken up in even shading.

could i apply the colour enhancer carefully to the area and what type should I buy?It is a small area at the back of the slab

Have you any pics.. maybe a small amount of stone oil would help..

The area was too small to show up in a pic,.I dont want to be sanding down the whole slab with my limited exp.so would definately like to try the stone oil..where can I get some??

if anyone ever has this problem wd40 worked well,,very lightly though,,as recommended by a stonemason on site.

WD40 also works on most wood scratches too.
