Unfortunately that is a bad job, it needs removing and redone. I wouldn’t have the confidence in the builder doing a better job so would you be happy him making the same mistake again? Would he refund you any money you have paid?

Maybe he can service your car while he is there, or even help you with finical help. Possibly if your waiting for surgery, he could do it for you.
