I recently laid a floor (keope fully vitrified porcelain tiles) with a Bal supaflex Ivory grout. After grout dried I put a Fila grout protector (sealer / impregnator). Got a call from the lady today to say that when she mops the floor, she cant clean the grout and it is now looking dirty. I have been round and cleaned a small part by using a cloth and general floor cleaner. Cleaned up easily as hasnt stained the grout, the dirt is just sitting on top, but obviously she doesnt want to be scrubbing the grout every week.

What would be best to put down to stop the grout from looking dirty? Is it worth cleaning the grout lines and then sealing the whole floor? (didnt think was necessary with the type of tiles) If so, what?

Cheers,

Chris

The trouble is that the grout is usually lower than the tiles, so when she mops her floor the water will lay in the grout joint, unless she wipes them with a sponge or get herself a wet vac to clean the dirty water out of the grout joints i dont think there is much you can do.

Sell her some Aqua Mix Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner:thumbsup:

Or failing that "Graces Dad" has some magic stuff as well:thumbsup:
