First Dentures = No sympathy

Hi guys, just spent $3.5k on a load of work on my teeth and finally lost my top front teeth So .I had to get a plate made up to replace 7 missing teeth.
I really didn't think that this day would come you know.
I just took them out for the night and turned and told the wife I was a little bit sad about loosing something that I've been attached to all my life. All she could do was laugh her head off because she thought it was funny the way I was saying anything with an F in it. :nopity:No sympathy here .
So what about you guys has this day ever reached you. And whats the funniest thing to happen with your (dear I say it) dentures ?:yikes:

That day hasn't come to me yet, but it happens to the best of us. Just count your lucky stars that there are so many great dentist available and the technology nowadays is amazing compared to a few years ago.

i do have a denture , top set , lost 4 front teeth playing footy in the eighties, boy that hurt

I've just had two crowns replaced recently and fixed onto titanium pins drilled into my jaw. Had to get them done after botched root canal work ten years ago..... Cost more than my first car did to get done, but worth every penny.

I've got two porcelain veneers on my front teeth as I cracked them with a metal ripcord in my old skydiving days

Awh, Bobby, your wife probably just tried to stop you feeling sorry for yourself. You'll gt used to them. One of those daft design of nature that they don't continue growing like fingernails.. so dentures are the next best thing. 🙂
