going to price up a small toilet floor onto concrete. ceramic tiles i think customer works with the wife. having to cut around the toilet and the sink. what adh needed. am i right in saying a spf adh . wide joint flex grout. acrylic prime first????
any tips for cutting around bog and sink. where would you start??? centering toilet or sink. also how much would you charge?? it is just an average small downstairs toilet. should imagine between 2 to 3 mtrs
thanks for your help in advance

price it for a days pay connors cause it'l probably take up most of your day anyway. Try centring at bowl and pedestal. If you cant , make templates from old newspaper and dry cut first before mixing addy. Good luck.

Yep day rate plus materials. Rapid set if you want it finished quick other wise it's back the next day to grout. No need to prime concrete

If not rapid set then you won`t be able to grout the same day. Not sure about a cheaper option for the addy, spf is what i would use.

I cut a piece of lining paper the same size as a tile and place it where you want your tile to sit and you can bend the paper and draw the line around the toilet or pedestal. Cut the shape out of the paper and then transfer whats left to the tile. Worked an absolute treat for me mate!

Dayrate for me and all, if your just starting and the job is local then i started at £100 a day. But you figure out what you need and stick to it. Take your time and do it right. Good luck.

day rate for me. rapid set and paper. if its that small that access is limited cut the furthest away and place down dry(i also make a little map and number pieces) so you can make a mix up and lay half of it working backwards and get to next lot of awkward cuts . hope you can follow that!?

just been to price up 1.6m2 quoted £70 plus mats will make about £20 on the adh with trade discount. so £90 that seems fair and customer thinks she is getting it for £70. she is well happy.
floor is not concrete as first thought it is asphalt.
can i still use the same adh. will it need priming first???? thanks kidders

I think it`s best to scrape off any loose bits and then prime with SBR or self level if required but hopefully someone with more experience will answer this for you soon!

Turkish:thumbsup:
