costa del sol over xmas

Not tile related but has anyone had any experience of costa del sol over xmas?(benalmedina/torremolinos). Booked for xmas eve for a week? Anyone know if its warm or if everythings open(pubs in particular).sick of the weather here.cheers

One of my friends takes his family to Tenerife for 3 weeks every year to spend Xmas and new year in the sun. Has been doing it for the last ten years.....

thought about tenerife but its 3x expensive nearly.probably due to guaranteed weather.

We have relatives in the Calpe area and they always wrap up over the Xmas time. 15 day forecast says it's 14-16 degrees during the day and 4-6 degrees at night. So you will have a wonderful time.
Had 1 Xmas over there in about '94 and it was lovely in the sun but jumper weather out.

Where are you staying? because playmar La Carihuela are the two areas between Torremolinos and Benalmadena

My sister and her husband go there every New Year. In fact they used to go over Xmas too, but prefer now to see grandchildren at Xmas.

Benalmadena has a very strong Brit community there. Basically it all revolves around meeting up with friends, pub crawling, restauarant hopping. There are specialist entertainment venues too.

Overall you will have a great time if you socialise. Not really sunbathing time, but it is fairly sunny in december (but not guaranteed sun), sunbeds are surrounded with windbreaks and you can sleep or read a book in relative warmth without getting sunburnt!

Generally best to stroll around Arroyo de la Miel area in Benalmadena to meet expats in resort.

its in benalmedina.went on a stag do there earlier this year.Quite nice around the marina.Got a week there so plenty of exploring to do. Never been to fuengirola or marbella so another option to try those

well walk along the beach to la carihulea some nice restaurants along the beach look at the weekend to see where the Spanish eat
