Hi all

got a marble job, cappaccino marble, very shiney.

ive asked the tile shop if they need sealing and they said ltp matt stone sealant would be fine but ive also read elsewhere that as they are polished the sealant wouldnt penetrate and is a waste of time.
:mad2:
Ive done a marble job before but they wasnt as polished as these and took on a mpg sealant, although i had to wipe off and buff the tiles im not sure how much actually got into the tile.

I have no problem sealing the tiles but dont want to waste my time and the customers money if sealant isnt going to do anything.
i'd rather put something on them that will protect them against staining but what is the best thing for the job.

many thanks

According to LTP, you can use mattstone or MPG. Personally I'd use MPG on polished surfaces. Apply and buff off after 15-20 mins.

on a polished marble i would use an inpregnater seal wipe on wipe off when marble is polished this is 70% of the seal .the inpregnator is the rest .i would never use a surface seal on a polished marble.
