benferflex adhesive

Yes I have used it and it's not very good . Used it over underfloor heating and the tiles are becoming loose one by one !! Purchased it from a company in Leeds STS I've heard a few more bad news stories from tiles on this adhesive. Don't use it - Steve

Was the adhesive or did the ufh not get commissioned correctly. .?

I use the leader flex over ufh and not had a problem with it. I think John Benton and Simon benn will highly recommend it too.

Yes I followed all the procedures. floor with ufh was screeded with level flex so no wire was visible then bender flex was used to fix the tile, I did remove 1 tile because of lipping and did think to my self through experience of adhesives that at was very hard when scraping the adhesive off a (brittle hard) if you know what I mean

Another tiler I know has used it on a large format tile on a counter in a commercial project and the tiles have done the same coming off one by one. Benfer flex rapid set does not seem to stick to porcelain tiles they seem to ping off from the adhesive if there is any fluctuation in temperatures especially when using ufh

Well I can say I've never has any problems with any of the Benfer products, with or without UFH, but I'm sure the OP would have found out for himself as this thread was started only 8 years ago 🙄
