are my tiles travertine and sealed

Hi there my girlfriend moved into her new house the other day and its one of three houses all the same tiles.The tiles are what i believe to be travertine tiles very bumpy irregular texture 100 x 100 approx ,with holes in them with what seems to be filled white grout maybe.as these tiles are around the hob area thinking are these tiles been sealed and protected from grease etc.How can i tell if these are travertine and been sealed correctly.Might get a job out of sealing the other two houses as well.Many thanks Lee

A pic of the tiles will help us identify them and as for if they are sealed...spalsh a bit of water at them and it should bead on the surface like it would on glass....or a wipe over with a damp sponge and it should'nt alter the stones appearance once wiped off..
