Hey all, was just wondering if any of you know where to get a Silicon tool with a 2 or 3mm profile? i use the Karl Dahm kit and i get great results with it but the smallest profile is 4mm which is a bit too big in certain situations, round a splashback and stuff i think a smaller bead of Silicon would look neater, just wondering if any of you know of a tool or kit that has a smaller profile? Also was just wondering which Silicon you prefer to work with?:smilewinkgrin:

You can alter the angle you use to make the bead smaller wit the Karl Dahm kits. Instead of using at 90deg to the surface try 60 or 45deg.

that could work, tho not sure i could maintain the same angle along the whole line, lol, wish the instructions were in english tho, there's an arrow pointing towards a useless tiny groove cut out of the middle of the bottom edge in the instructions and i'd love to know what the hell its for!!!:incazzato::incazzato:

whats wrong with your fingers

i use the red and white Silicon tool from band q £2 or something, great wee tool.

Are you a Plumber by any chance ??? (sorry nothing against plumbers). I use an ice stick and just sand (or cut) it down the the exact size I need. Works perfect every time

no.:yikes:

With a small profile bead you don't need anything else over and above a finger, Silicon bead, finger lightly in one move, sorted

I use a Fugi kit cut down with a stanley knife , very effective and u dont have to use washing up liquid either.
After a fortnight the Fugi has paid for its self with the silicon ive saved.

Regards
Trev

The video looks great - but I bet that is not Silicon they are using for the demo! Looks like gap filler or something
