Fired Earth Flexible Wall and Floor Grout

O

On one

Your thoughts on the above grout?.....good, bad or indifferent......The customer has supplied the grout and was wondering if I should swap it for something different especially as it's setting time is 24hrs!

I have used it and it wasnt too bad , dont remember it taking that long, I do remember that it was VERY expensive !

Prior to ordering the tiles I asked the customer for matching grout and a suitable Silicon for stone and I didn't see any today.Looking at the F/E website they dont do a Silicon to match their cream grout.......hayho!

used this today and I would say its shocking ,very course grout didn't like the finish , like putting sand in your joints ,would never use it again

Cos I work around Bath a lot I find myself encountering Fired Earth tiles (supplied by customers) an awful lot lately. A lot of the tiles are hand made and are not exact sizes. But I find they cut just like other ceramic tiles (but very carefully - some of the designs cost £40 for a single 6" tile!) - you just cannot use spacers because of this.

Interestingly enough most of these customers paying outrageous money for these tiles are still looking for "bargain basement" fixing costs!
