First off: Could you point me to a place where I can read that particular paragraf?

Second: Ross, no offence man, but you need to stop being so reactionary.
Instead of writing:

if you are laying 600x 300 tiles with an 8mm trowel, then you should not be laying tiles for a living. you need to get re trained and i mean that in a constructive way not insulting..

you could've written "wouldn't a larger trowel be a better choice for tiles of that size? I'm pretty certain BS state etc etc" or some such. That would've resulted in a discussion, as opposed forum sniping.

Edit: BTW, here's the Ardex 7001 spec, and it does state 8mm square notched is suitable for general floor tiling. That suggests you can get sufficient coverage on most floor tiles using a combination of that particular adhesive and an 8mm notched trowel.

sorry swe, my education, mental state, and grammar is not at your capacity. i should have more manners. i will leave the forum now, thanks to everybody who has helped me.
thanks, ross

No need to leave ffs.

You're obviously a "doer" type of person. You do and say what you think is right in any given situation, and that's a very good type of personality in alot of situations, but if you could nudge some flexibility into it, I'm sure you'd find that things would go a bit smoother 🙂 Take five extra seconds to contemplate wether or not what you want to say can, needs, or should be said in a constructive manner.

Essentially, ask yourself: "Will I benefit from saying this in the way I want to say it, or should I soften it a bit?"

Conversely, I'm a thinker. That's good in many situations, but I can be a bit passive at times. I'd benefit from being a little bit more of a doer 🙂
More would get done if I were, hehehe

If the floor is nice and level a 10mm or 12 will do well,13mm if its bad or use different depths if levels are off,i laid 34m of 600x600 polished porcelain in the middle of this week with a 10mm,good floor.
