i only have a car at the moment but my company has vans, i only realy need my tools anyway so a car suites me for now

174000 miles, 9.5 years old and got a bit of the tin worm in places. Still goes well though, and 40mpg. Good job as diesel is now 108p here in Nairn.:furious3:

Still... it's a BMW.... the drive of your life :... ohh.. that might have been Saab.

Hurahh !!!! 1000th post

Car Fiat Marea Weekend,I bet none of you have heard of it,thats because its ****.The last 3 years each MOT has cost me about £500,but its the perfect size for all my tools plus it can carry 5 people.Looks quite good with the signwriting though.

Hopefully buy a new car early next year, don't feel theres much need for a van,if theres lots of tiles to carry I'll make the customer arrange delivery or charge them if I have to make more than one trip.

Dave.

The other day you had Tiling courses staff logo in your profile... now you don't.

What was the crack with that ?

I added him to the wrong usergroup when I was setting his account. Didn't even spot it myself, Dave had to notice it and PM me... he wondered the same thing lol.

A few of the members have posted pictures of their vans in the gallery too...

car

just a car, xantia 1.9td only 197k starts no probs and runs like a dream, plenty of boot space and fits 5 peeps to lol

andy

Ive invested in a citroen relay Lwb 2.2 TDi high top as well 72k, goes a dream...
was running about 6 days a week with the back seats of my Mazda6 down and
loaded with my tools... nightmare with the car, i carry usually 2 cutters, bathboard, stands, paddle mixer, straight edge, spirit levels, buckets etc to name but a few.... looked like the flintstones mobile all crammed heading to a job... lol, occasionally id forget to pack a certain tool and have to nip home to pick up... so
def van required and never looked back, more professional & efficient timewise...

i have a bmw estate (posh as well!!) i never imagined i would become a tiler so it was just a wife and 3 kid taxi but now it doubles up carrying my gear which it copes with no bother - the only pain in the arse is having to shift child seats every day!!

van or car?

Scudo for me .02 plate though. Obviosly not earning as many dollars to by a 56 plate!:huh2: . Good work horse though and enough room to shove the missus in if she gets on my nerves( joke? mmm!  )
