Hi I'm looking for some advice on Homelux Tile trim. I
I'm tiling the kitchen, got to the window area and trying to put the trim up the corner
edge of the window with a return into the window then across the top of the tiles. Have used a corner joining part before in the Bathroom, but can I
find any in the stores now (9mm Soft Cream). tried to cut and mitre it but keep ending up with a sharp rightangle that looks wrong with the trim
joining up to it. Any sugetions ?.

hi gildatq

I got to the same point as you i couldnt find any corner pieces, i ended up with a meter long strip down to a ruler lenth strip cause i could get the mitre right lol , Raja gave me a tip if this helps. lay the tiles outto the shape of the window as a template, and then cut the strip to the mitre, it worked for me .

homeflux tile trim is arse mate ... use genesis trim if its not 2 late you can get the excellent little corners in almost ever colour even crome .... hope this helps

You can get homelux corner profiles from CTD...........i used to use genesis trims but IMO homelux have a better profile , not as bulky looking as genisis ones....

.here is Devonmark's tutorial...brilliant corner solution....Gaz

3 way mitre..tutorial (hopefully)
Here I am going to attempt to guide you through a the cutting of a 3 way mitre.

picture 1 is of the 3 way mitre.
3_way_mitres.jpg

trim for the top of the mitre is laid flat in the mitre box as in pic 2,

after you have cut the mitre you then stand the trim up and cut the mitre in half (the opposite way) as in pic 3,
31.jpg

this will then give you a point as in pic 4

next you cut the piece the for the downward trim, you cut this in the opposite to the top piece, cut your mitre in the normal way with the trim standing up, then you lie it flat and cut it in half the opposite way as in pics 5 and 6.

hope this helps with some of the confusion...Mark.

You can always use square trim on the vertical, this way you just do a normal mitre on the horizontal and it looks pretty good.

Ga, Thanks for the pic's on 3 way cut. I managed to get them in the end. I will have to adapped it. The trim to the right is on a wall up the side of a window 4 tiles high so trim needs to be other way round, the same on window return, but at least now I can get on with it. Thanks for the help.
