tanking p shaped bath/shower

hi guys

just wondering how to tank the pshaped bath area on plasterboard. The bath is being put in after its all tiled

cheers

Why is the bath being fitted after tiling, that would make tanking the area extremely difficult

Considering you have to run your tape along the bath when you are tanking bath needs fitted prior to tiling

When you put your tape onto the bath , do you tile on top of the tape???
I'm just curious really because surely the tape will come away when it's filled with water and a fat bloke in it .

Bath in,Silicon, tape, tanking, tiling, water in bath then final Silicon
I always frame out my Baths with cls timber

You got a thing about fat people Craig:lol:

The tape I use is very flexible and sticks like rubbish to a blanket. It will allow for people who are challenged in the 'getting on scales' dept

How? Can't say Ive ever fitted/seen a p bath without a screen to fit on it.

4" past the edge will suffice

The long curved edge Ali, I meant you'd have trouble getting that flat against a wall and fixing taking tape.

It was just a bit of sarcasm, you're right, the shape of the bath is irrelevant.

To the OP if you want to tank the area. No reason why you can't tank the area where the 2 sides of the bath will be, tile the walls, leaving out the row above the bath, fix the bath, fix tanking tape, and then tile down to the bath.

Quite simply to the guy that posted
Do the job properly and fit bath first
Then waterproof
