He states that the saw can cut upto 500mm, sure it could do bigger than that....

Excellent saw at a good starting bid imo ... The 500mm is the sliding bed , however you can free length cut after that.

arrived today. will have to get new blade soon for it. question is 250 or 300 mm?

Should be 300mm but you can fit a 250. You need to adjust the little slide thingy at the back of the blade to stop water do splashing out if you are using the smaller blade.

the hole diameter is 30mm.

the sigma blade is expensive. Ats make blades that fit.http://www.atsdiamondtools.co.uk
