Hi folks,
I have a job coming up that requires a border around the perimeter of a kitchen/ diner, then the main floor done on a diamond pattern. The border will be half a tile one next to each other, then a bit of a tram line before the diamond.

I've not done this before, so, would you mark and install the border first, then sort the middle out, or vice versa?

Cheers

Gareth

If the room is square then set the diamond pattern to take full and half tiles then the border + infill to the wall, if the room is an awkward shape then its border first then infill.......Its whatever the customer wants or what works and looks best...

Yep..when i do them i just picture frame it then infill...make sure you use a level to keep the border flat as the diamond pattern will be cut to it and you do not want points sticking out....( sharp edges).. then you only have the half tile to diamond instead of bigger cuts.

Thanks guys, the room is 2 rooms, not square, so think I'll do border/frame first

Thanks again
