Does any one know if the rubi ti seres has had improvements made to the locking bar since release? Some pics show slots on where it clamps down and does this stop the movment it used to have??

Thanks

Yeah it does i need a 700 hundred cutter for one job but am makeing on it so might aswell get a decent cutter but is it decent? A lot of talk of it and it seems a bit negative because of movment in the rail but looks like they changed it hence the sale of my lovely monty ....... Witch you should buy as your up the road lool

Rock hard 600s but thought might aswell go one up shame my cutter wont do it.. any thoughts on the monty p3 was gena go sigma but dont like to follow the crouds

goan.... Rubi is the original and the best, the rest are imitators, they won't do you a wrongun... i'm a businessman first, and a tiler second, I don't mind admitting, but the branded products won't let you down, as their name oozes confidence for a reason, its tried and tested stuff, you will never doubt yourself as 1000's of others have used their product.. and we're not talking about a consumable that you buy every day, so the extra ££ v's the time.. no contest

Rubi could'nt keep up with the tough tiles coming out and fell behind thats why I went over to sigma....

If you don't want to follow the crowds then I will sell you this.

Ab absolute brute of a cutter if you need to cut porcs..

I used to own a tx 1200 when they first came out and couldnt cut a 600 x 600 porcelain tile on the diagonal as the breaking bars flexed it was a very poor machine and very expensive , I sold it to another tiler and bought a sigma 3 em 3 years ago . I have been really pleased with the sigma https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkrwzmRaHX8

what is this thing Stef ?? where did you buy it / hear of it ?

I bought it a few years ago to do a job that our Rubis wouldn't touch.
It's a Tomecanic SuperCoup 75.
I bought it new from fleabay.
It's a fantastic cutter but it's just too powerful for doing glazed ceramics etc as it just bursts the glaze from the tile.
For porcs it's great, don't even need to use the breaker as it will split just scribing with the wheel.

very strange, I've owned one for 4 years, and have never ever had a problem with any tiles, honestly... if there's a better large format 1200mm cutter out there, i'd like to know... no sarcasim

I had the monty and found it smashed the harder tiles unlike the sigma which cuts through anything with ease
