Newbie Advice needed

S

Silver Birch

Hi all I am relatively new to this after completing a rather poor college course.
A friend has asked me to tile three bathroom floors with sparkly quartz tiles - no ufh - smallest one on cement substrate other two on 1st floor on chipboard. Am I right in thinking I should stick and screw 6mm hardi backer or similar to chipboard and then tile over with a flexible adhesive?

Obviously these tiles look better with a small grout gap, would I be better off with a flexi grout and increasing the gap to avoid any movement?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Done a job with these tiles recently. I would glue and screw 6mm Hardi or similar to chipboard. I also used 2 part addy. If you want a small grout joint why not invest in some lash clips.

Thanks Whitebeam
It is a money no problem job so won't have to scrimp. Was thinking BAL or Mapei addy and grout, any personal preference?

Hi Jolly Roger
Cheers for that advise, not used Lash clips before, are they easy to use? Which brand would you recommend?
