tiling a wall and there's a mirror stuck on the wall somehow. It isn't screwed on , seems to be fixed with some sort of adhesive...anyone come across this, and how can I get it off?

HAHA! Brilliant 🙂

If its not screwed and sits flat against the wall, chances are it will either be fixed with epoxy, low modular Silicon or some other kind of adhesive suitable for mirrors. Unless there is some kind of hook and bracket system that you can't see.

Never had to take one down, but guessing you may need a miracle to get it done in one piece if its stuck that well.

As free fall suggested. Break it don't fret about the 7 years bad luck ha ha.
You will spend for ever trying not to damage it and it will happen any way.

Good luck

As above. Roll n stroll all over it, and wear safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves.
Don't bend the mirror off the wall or you risk a nice big very sharp piece coming right at you!
If it's well covered, just smash it and carefully pick the pieces up.

Are you implying a woman's not capable Mark? 😀
That's probably more sexist than Andy's
comment! 😛😛

Marc! I am married with 2 daughters and I know from humbling experience that women are more capable than men in many many ways.

I was simply wondering if he meant get a vaccuum cleaner to do it, or a woman!

Have come across this in the past, where mirror has been silicones or similar onto tiles, have used hardpoint saw to cut through Silicon/ adhesive to separate. Good luck.!

We actually still fit mirrors in new builds and the glue they will have used will be mirror mastic trust me that will never let go! the only real way to get it off the wall will be as said above. Roll and stroll the glass then get some long sleeves on hammer and chisel and just slowly break it away. Unfortunately to date we haven't come across an easier method, we have tried wire saws but they tended to take way to long.
