Let's have some Grout talk

I am regular user of UCP and over the last 10 years or so I can recollect only 2 occasions where I have had problems and they were down to grout haze caused by cold atmospheric conditions and textured glass mosaics (I was never going to win that one anyway)
So, speak as you find!
I AM speaking as I find so don't understand your last statement!

😕Personally I avoid Mapei grouts at all costs .. Just no faith in it after having probs in the past with shade differences.
Bal and Webber seem to be kinder to me 😵

Bal MM is all i use , but used granfix ultra on a job recently supplied by customer and it was prety good to work with, dont like weber or mapei grouts though its been a while since i used weber , have they improved it ?

Weber grout nice to work with and leaves a much smoother finish than Mapei, pot life much longer than BAL mm

Once you get a handle on the drying times the Bal is great to use , ideal for porcelain
Il give the Weber another go though , cheers for that...
Had recently used Butec colorstuk rapin n. Consistent colour, creamy consistency, smooth finish, oh ! and fast setting.

Grout 3000 appears to be the best cementitious grout now. One of it's best features is how it sticks to the float. I can grout a whole room and it doesn't end up all over the floor like ucp.

That is something I take for granted, I remember the days of using bal grout and having to sweep up and the mess off the floor. I remember some time ago being advised that you need to use the flexmaster additive when using it on full body porcelain as it doesn't bond well to the edge of the tile

Mixing an additive to the butech made it much more workable, I subbied to porcelanosa for around 20 years so I had to use their miserable grout

Not if your grouting floors, 😉. Found it especially good for floors, with grout lines of 5mm and above. Each to there own! 😀.
Yeah well it was ok on floors but not great on ceramics on walls without the additive it would dry instantly on joints and fall on the deck , trust me I grouted a gazillion bathrooms with it..

Aye ! i trust you, yes you can't take your eyes of the ball for sure. But in any case I get on with it okay.😀

Been using Webber adhesive and grout for the last couple of years and quite like it, I have now switched over to Ultra as it's loads cheaper and have found the grout to be pretty good, goes off pretty quick which I like.

I just finished a 70 metre floor in surrey mate, dont have to grout it ,even better ,lol
