Looking dam good mate
Job i looked at before in the office block is for a company called Sodexho, huge firm. They do all catering stuff for the Army and places like BA systems, sparky i spoke with said make sure i do a good job because the amount of work they put is way is amazing, so fingers crossed.

When doing new builds, do you need a cscs card, im new and finding it hard to find work so far this year, if builders do phone me where do i stand,

Cheers

Im not quite sure what you need now, i have a cis card and they deducted 20%. grumpy grouter might know, ask him.

You will get deducted 20% off labour but not materials.
I am on a site at the moment for a big builder and althoough i was asked if i had a CSCS card they did not insist on it. I am sure it will be the way in the future though.

Why are you still using a cis card, The tax man blew them out in april 2007, there's another system in use now. I do work for a mate of mine who's a heating engineer who had to put me forward as one of his contractors he then has to deduct my tax at 20% and send in monthly return. The cis you would get a reciept of how much tax your'ed paid then at the end of the year wave em at your accountant, hopefully get some tax back, now guys I work for get the customer to pay me to avoid the hassle of form filling.

I know that whitebeam, as my post said im not sure what u need now, so i told him to speak to grumpy grouter who is a accountant :mad2:
