Imitation travertine.

Has anyone seen the imitation trav? I was looking at some today and to be honest it looked perfect, imitation filler but hardly any and grain lines etc, it was in 600x300 but the rep says it will be available in 600x600 by June.
It was extremely difficult to tell it was not real stone just by looking at it.
Very impressive.

Grain lines... so it imitates vein cut stone.. is it porcelain bodied..?

What was the price like in comparison to real trav? Was it a lot cheaper or similar?

Got some on a job at the moment, its porcelain and i cant remember the name of the process to print it, but every tile is different. Look really good, however it is the same price as the real trav the customer had in her other bathroom.

Does it bow out like a lot of large porcy tiles?

It has a slight bow to it yes but not too bad, if im 100% honest i never even noticed it, Whitebeam checked it not me as he is laying it tomorrow!

It is porcelain and although I only saw 4 pieces there were no repeat patterns. I did ask if it would be the usual repeat pattern and he assured me that it will not. As for bowing I did not check that although I can tomorrow.
Price is around £50 per metre and he also had some superb imitation slate, again in porcelain. I will take some pictures and post them tomorrow.

I dont have any pics yet but this stuff is £35 a metre normally but its on promo as its new in at £29.95 (600 x400 )

Different shades available too.

lol not a chance, its from the same place that supplied the worng coloured trav for my customer and fixed it before she realised! They wont be getting anymore of my business now!
