Hi all, do any of you use the HG products for sealing your tiles, I have used FILA before but my stockist has just changed to HG as they said that it was a better product in there opinion.
I have a marble bathroom to do next week and was going to try it, just thought I would ask to see if anyone has tried it before?

Hagesan Natural Stone & Marble Impregnator - Hagesan

I used to use Hg range but they are not the best.....some of there products can be hard work.....I tend to use lithofin now............much better product if you can get hold of it.....

Cheers Dave, have you tried this version of the HG? I know they do a generic sealer which is supposed to be hard work, but I don't mind a bit of elbow grease if the end results are very good.

i use them but i do agree with dave sometomes they can be hard work. This week i have been using the dirt and wax cleaner and the Impregnator sealer. You do really need to read the instructions as you can get caught out if you dont read them properly. Its not until you use them that you experience what i am trying to say.

I get my sealer at a fair price but a company in my town was selling stuff that i get for £8 for nearly £13.So shop around.

Bloody hell, just seen the price of lithofin stain stop, £33 a litre! That's over double the HG price!

Just had a look at the marble recommendations, do you clean the marble first with the HG cleaner or just put it straight on. I guess you put it on once the tiles are up but not grouted and again after grout.

You can get it much cheaper than that.....but thee old saying you get what you pay for.......🙂

I agree mate, you do. I think I will try the HG stuff and if it doesn't work Lithothin will get a try.
