By a wet saw I assume you mean a standard wet tile cutter?

I've got exactly the same problem and I was using an old plasplugs cheapie with a knakered disk and bearings that make interesting noises.

I've just come back from Plymouth with the £60 plasplugs cutter, probably could have bought better, but I liked the fence arrangement on this one. It should help me hold the tile better.

CTD suggested using scoring and tile nibblers. That worked to a point, but where the cut end is gainst the trim I wanted a cleaner cut.

That old tile cutter was so noisy I thought the wheel was going to come off and take my fingers with it!

Once you get the knack of using them, they work great on glass mocaics...

Hi, sometimes it is possible to get away without any cutting on mosaics. Depends upon area to be tiled and size of mosaics. See my post on curved wet room. In this, the ceiling inside the shower was out by 10mm from lowest to highest point, also the circumference would have meant a cut at one side, if spaced normally.
However I did not do any cutting.....
Instead I cut up some of the sheets into smaller strips and gradually " tickled " the spacing to accommodate full tiles, this is a bit time consuming. But if done carefully can hardly be noticed when the job is grouted. The mirror mosaics were also cut into individual strips and the spacing increased slightly as they did not fit and would have otherwise meant a cut on one edge ( would not have looked very nice )
