Mosaic protection film - Tile Advice

Hello,

I’ve put up mosaic tiles and some of them (the shiny metal ones) have a protective film.

Do I remove this before or after grouting? I’m thinking afterwards, but might that be tricky if the edges of the film lie under the grout?
