Hi

I wonder if you can advise...

I have taken off all the old tiles in a cloakroom and removed as much of the old tile adhesive as possible. However during this process the top layer of paper on the plasterboard has also come away (showing the brown coating/paper) in quite a few area's.

What is the best way to proceed...
Can I just tile over the brown paper and any minor imperfections
Will the brown paper peel away with the moisture of the adhesive

any advice will be appreciated.

Regards
Simon

how much of the backing paper showing through? if it's the odd imperfection then I wouldn't worry if it's large peices I would replace the PB
