Done a load of work in this house already and is the next job in a few weeks as they've just built a wacking great extension on it which we are fitting out some of the new rooms, as if the house wasn't big enough already!

Great customers and they never question my invoices but then I never take the ****

He can afford to be a plonker Dave, just makes you sick though.

I would never have been allowed to take photos of this place but, have found it on google earth. This is the house where the F1 showroom in my albums is. Mahoosive place, must be worth 5mil.

Never got a picture of any but worked in a few big brutes of houses.

One of the biggest had quite a good story behind it. Customer inherited a few acres of built on land and sold it to a developer for £3m at the peak. Bought it back in the slump for £600k and had a nice budget to build about 8000sqft worth.

Worked in a 'retirement home' near cheadle, well posh, which got left to the home by the previous owner, some lady so and so. Nothing special just some showers in bumpy whites.
But the house over the road was for sale, had just been reduced by 3 million to the little sum of 9 million, apparently van persie has bought it, not sure if true

I have worked in some marvellous places, the longest being five years. Heres a few photos of some of the projects I have done over the last few years, there are loads more but this is a good cross section. I often say I work in two diff worlds, theres the clients world, where what they want they get regardless of the cost, and theres mine the real world where I still wont have a stone floor in the kitchen because I know the cleaning involved! Be true to yourself, and keep your feet on the ground, as my grandad used to say. And I know I don't post photographs much anymore, because normally I'm on a confidentiality contract or I am so sick of the contract at the end, I want to see the back of it. I hope you enjoy.

Lynn

Done two travertine/marble bathrooms in this place a few years ago when it was getting renovated. Stapleford Park Hotel, think the top rooms were about £1400 a night.:yikes:

Was another tiler there from London and he was amazed that we were able to cut a lot of the trav with our Sigma's.

Done a couple of bathrooms, 2 kitchens and a games room floor (30m2) in this conversion, before chrimbo,. Can you beleive it used to be a nightclub and the buildings u can just see next to it was a hotel/resteraunt.

Went back yesterday to confirm some finishes, builders are a few weeks behind but to be expected with the weather we've just had.

Check out the garden...

This has to be the most expensive garden I know as there was a £2.5m house on it which they flattened to make room for some more lawn!

How the other half live. :drool5:

Is the house quite new? It looks like a 21st century stately home should look.

Yeah the house is just coming up for 3 years old. The estate is very old but all of the old properties are being knocked down and neo georgian mansions like this are being put in there place which half the chelsea team have moved in to but often the new properies are far to big for the plots they sit on, hence why this guy bought the undeveloped property next door to make his garden bigger.

When he bought next door we were going to do a quick refurb on it so he could rent it out but in the end he decided to push forward with his extension instead. No great loss as the contract for the interior is worth more to me than the other refurb. One of the rooms we have just agreed on a wallpaper that retails in store at £1,100 a roll! but I pay half that and I won't charge them anywhere retail either.. as I say I never take the ****, I look after them and they do me.
