I was up Covent garden yesterday and saw this, thought the setting out and finished job looked spot on. . actually I thought it looked great . anyway I'll go back to sitting in front of the computer now and hopefully my mum will bring my afternoon tea up 😉 lol

It certainly stands out!
However if I lived next door I'd ask for a rates rebate as I think it would devalue the market standing of my property.
As for the setting out - without seeing the overall picture - I'd have been looking for more full tiles. The cut to the skirting/lower & upper windows/top all suggest that the whole tile could have been considered.
Still wonder if it was planning approved - even for Covent Garden.

But thanks for the opportunity to comment - good thread.

Nice job. Looks well, but who has spotted his setting out error.

Blue Peter badge to the first to spot it.

To the left of the doorway and to the left of the beading, the cut is smaller than the other side?? lol

The two main walls have been started on the wrong bond IMO, but looks good anyway.

Created on iPhone.....

Weeellll, I quite like it that the set out round the wall doesn't match the main walls, it makes it more of a door feature IMO, but the above and below issue, yes, full tile would have been better there 🙂 All in all though I don't think it's unpleasant 🙂

Sorry I dont like it,maybe that many drunks where peeing in the doorway they decided to make it look like a public loo

It does look nice. Total madness for the front of a building but still looks pretty sick. I like the way it's been set out, the half cuts really draw attention to how spot on everything is. Gives a very bold and confident finish, fair play to him. Agree with the door, full bricks bit though
