Basalt tiling, we have dabs showing through and grout marks
We have just completed a number of bathrooms walls and floors in Basalt. Porous grout lets water behind tiles and marks when wet
I've just had my bathroom tiled by a 'professional tiler' and now when the wall gets wet the water penetrates through the grout and into the tiles which then shows up as a dark mark. water drip marks on ceramics? also Silicon residue

Aliminum marks on polished porcelain
May be of intrest to anyone. Noticed my spirit level was leaving dull silver marks on some ivory polished porcelain. Tried rubbing off with rubber,cloth,scouring pad to no joy then tried the adhesive i was using with has very fine sand content.It took it immediatley off and no scratches- kaharrison9
