Was wondering if any one could tell me what these marks are. I think it's residue left after cutting the marble and then its been sealed in. Thx in advance.

Marble doesn't get sealed it gets polished! But I couldn't tell from the pictures what the white marks are.
Are they surface or right through the tile marks?

John its not right through, it's just at the top and bottom of most of the tiles. Tried removing if with grimex but it won't shift. As recommended by the supplier.

Kilty, yes the supplier is exchanging them but was just curious to see if any one knew what it was.

hard to see really,i did a job a while back and the knob of a electrician had to cut a chase out, instead of taking tiles off he angle grinded down the tiles sending sparks everywhere, including the tiles, burning marks into the polished surface, and i mean a lot of em,me and the custormer were not happy chickens
