Is any one finding the cost of fuel digging a big hole into your profits..?..

And what are the prices where you are..?.....( just an update on a previous thread )..

£1.28p ltr for diesel here.....

Luckily Dave my van has only 10k on now and is very easy on fuel, also i live near the border with the south of Ireland so fuel can be bought there cheaper!!!. around £1 a litre down there or very little more.5-8p maybe.
I buy local at about £1.20

Especially on fuel........any more prices out here...??

Or opinions on what the goverment should do now..?

All this on top of house prices crashes!!
some houses are dropping a third now already,a lot of business's going to the wall too,i know a few struggling badly!! even tile shops aren't doing well. There is too many people with negative equity now! not good for anyone, just glad i built my home 6 and a half years ago.the prices rise sharply from that and now down, down, down!!
Who knows where it will end,and your right about taxes!!
tiles are being held back in spain at the minute because of fuel strikes!

Well, since Labour came to power 10 years ago, all we have had is new tax after new tax, more old taxes increased than reduced with no sign of them letting up.

I remember reading in a broadsheet paper a while back now that Labour has introduced over 120 new taxes since they came to power, with very few scrapped and a lot of the old taxes increased further.

As for fuel prices... well... only by dropping around 20p a litre from duty will make a difference, but that saving would only be lost within a couple of months with crude prices rising like they are.

I forsee £2 a litre by the end of the year :icon8:

Seen as 75% or more of fuels price is tax..then i think they can resolve this problem easy.......instead of bieng greedy *********...

Dave your first post on this says it costs £1.28p a ltr!! lol.
don't scare the sh** out of us all further! lol.

I had a email from someone the other day saying everybody should stop using the major fuel companys, bp, shell ect' an go to tesco's or asda. Then they would soon start cutting there prices

I always check prices before doing a job, Done a metal system the other week, Prices gone up by 50%. The fuel prices will be pushing transport costs up and following thru to everything else we buy. My local supermarket has an offer on at the moment 45 cans of lager for £20, Am I missing somethink :8:

There seems to be a spate of it going missing from farms now as well.......if you get caught with cherry-aid in your tank they will not only fine you , they will take your vehicle and crush it......

Yes they will, i used to drive diggers and bulldozers and a lot of people i worked with used it as it was easy to get, and a mate of mine was caught, got a £500 fine and the second time £1000 fine, and bye bye van.

Yeah they could reduce duty but as I said before, the price would only shoot up with the money going to the oil company and not the goverment.

Thieving gits in this government!!! Cost me £90 to fill up the other day and that`ll be good for 430miles! Averages about £1.30 down here. Just sold my house as well and they`re taking £8010 in stamp duty! :furious3:

Turkish
