just thought i'd like you to tell of things not to do while working!
My first thing not to do is..............Scratch your head while holding a stanley knife😳 did this on thursday.....the stitches come out on wednesday..any other suggestions greatly received.

don't climb a frame scaffold using a brick hammer as a grappling hook!..... metal on metal not a good idea, did this once as a silly 18 yo and knocked myself out, luckily it was at the bottom of a scaffold!

had 14 stitches in my head due to getting angry with a "springy" rhododendronn too, took my double edged axe right back to "give it some", deflected off another branch right into top of my head!!

dont go to wipe the sweat of your brow whilst holding a sharp edged plasterers trowl:smilewinkgrin: ouch why do we do these things? also dont flush a loo that has no toilet attached:yikes:

did that once after using mentholatum deep heat!! ( that hurt!)

 You plonker!

Used Deep Heat before a footy match one February...then forgot to wash my hands and rubbed my face...5 Mins later looked like I had been slapped on both cheeks - perfect hand prints. Burned like hell! - cant imagine the pain from doing it 3 foot lower down

Don't stand up too quickly when working under a vanity unit.(4 times in one day) especially when your bald

Thank heavens you didn't need to pick your nose.

Don't steer the car with your knees whilst driving on the M62 whulst eating burger king and to top the lot talking on hand held mobile - bloody Fiesta Driver scared me half to death. Where is the traffic police when you need them

:yikes:contact lens in after putting fiery jack muscle rub on before a rugby match

i didnt do it but the lad who did
the tears streaming down

our faces when we saw how much agony he was in

fiery jack is same a deep heat put does not warm up at first but it lasts for ages

NEVER NEVER NEVER unbolt a metal staircase while sitting on the middle landing when the landing is all thats holding the strings together.....😳:dizzy2::mad2:
You drop like a brick and land across the landing that fell first though the gas and air made it worth it....NOT...two days in hospital

check lintels below where you are running blocks into bison beams. I didn't and lintel had no reinforcing bars in it. I'd stacked a load of blocks while one of my bosses was red leading an RSJ. Lintel below snapped, I disappeared buried beneath a hundred blocks and a tin of red lead paint splattered all over the walls, I thought I'd amputated something. Nearest I've ever (on a building site ) come to death:yikes:

!!!!!...Come down unsupported ladders on a newly tiled porcelain floor - just as well my SAS training came in handy - last year!

Timeless John.

How am I still alive.....
Don,t panic when your main parachute doesn't open, I'd always wondered if i would panic, but on about my 50th freefall, my main didn't open, calmly altered my body position to go for my reserve and out pops my main, ( it'd got "stuck" in a vacuum or "burble" in the small of my back) legs were like jelly when I landed tho'!!

block filling bison's is a death hazard in it's own right, many a time i've seen the bison snap after forklift drivers have landed pallets of 4" block

Don't try to stop a tile from hitting the bath with your thigh. When removing old tiles, last row up by the ceiling a tile came off whole, actually had another stuck to the back, was going to miss my pillows so stuck out my leg automatically, straight through my trousers, straight into my thigh....never seen so much blood, stung a bit!

read this tread with a mouth full of tea...the computer is drying out now but the kybrd nt wokng poply yet.!!!!

and another.... don't try and un-jam a cassette thats got stuck in your car stereo, esp if your touching 100mph on a straight bit of road, but a lorry has decided to make a left turn..... I looked up to see said lorry, hit the brakes, skidded across the road and hit a retaining wall, two somersaults and landed on the roof!! The annoying thing was that I'd just finished paying the loan off on my 2 litre S and was gonna go fully comp on the insurance the following week:mad2:

on a car stereo note - don't try inserting another cd into a single slot cd player in your car when there is already one stuck in there. if one is already stuck, accept the fate that no matter how many more cd's your insert into the slot, it will not un-stick the original cd. and, it will only proceed to clog the slot and prevent any of the additional discs from being ejected.....

courtesy of my mother-in-law :mad2: brother-in-law and hubby spent the best part of an afternoon dismantling the dashboard in her Ford Fusion just to release not one, not two but THREE cd's that she had jammed into the slot :mad2:

At pain of being a right square - don't lay your tiles to the screed unless its been primed especially if its anhydrite - why oh why do I keep seeing it happen :mad2:
