Yeah he’s good guy, knowledgeable too, we had a good day.
I’m pretty lucky I must admit, I get to do some amazing projects.
I’ve had to work for it tho, and it’s been tough at times, getting there tho.
Yeah you don’t develop those skills overnight or the jobs. Lot of time and effort to get where you are.

.........When it’s a shower!!!

One of the smallest ex-large format projects I’ve undertaken, in more ways than one.

I was asked what the feasibility was of installing a 4 tile string of 2.4 x 1.2 x 6mm thin tile to a rather compact shower room.
I went along to the property, and quickly understood everyone’s point of view, general consensus was it wasn’t possible because of access.
But the client wants what the client wants.

My proposed solution was to dismantle a shower wall that backed in to the bedroom.
Bring the largest two pieces thro the wall in the upright position, and then reinstate and waterproof the shower.

The rest were going to be reduced in size sufficiently to be passed through the door.

One other issue that was to become a real thorn in my side was that one of the four pieces delivered, was incorrect, and not part of the string ordered.
And after being promised it would only take a week to replace, I’m still waiting, 10 days later.

Anyway after getting assurances from all concerned that if I was to begin the install and the missing piece turned out to be incompatible, I was not to be held responsible for proceeding without it. (Even that took almost a week to get in place)

1st image, just left of centre shows the missing shower wall.

Tiles are 2.4 x 1.2 x 6mm thin tile by Florim.
