Albeit,Im newish to using clips. I have found you musn't/can't always rely on the clips to get your tile flush with the next tile.(unless you really,really crank it up with the grips)

I think if you need to crank things with pliers, you're probably too far out to be using clips.

600x300 and above, but not always. If the tiles are good and the surface is very good, often I won't use them

Have you ever drilled a hole or two in a tile, then used screws to secure in place then removed the screws when everything sets and filled the hole with resin?
